The XVII RECSI will be held at the School of Industrial Engineering and Telecommunications of the University of Cantabria, Santander, Spain.

The University of Cantabria (UC) is a public and modern institution, whose principal aim is to contribute to the social progress across its commitment with educational and scientific excellence. The UC is considered to be one of the ten best universities of the country by its quality and scientific productivity.

Santander is a seaport of northern Spain, in the region of Cantabria. It is a middle-large size city that spreads along the bay, known for its city beaches and scenic harbor. It has around 185.000 inhabitants, although population increases in the summer. Outstanding places near Santander are: the Altamira caves with prehistoric paintings, the park of Cabarceno, the charming village of Santillana del Mar, Comillas with its University, Suances, famous for its beache or the Alto Campoo ski resort with peaks that exceed 2200 m.
